one down...two to go.

This week is finals week and surprisingly I'm not a bit stressed out about it. I know I should be a at least a little anxious, but all I feel is just some anxiety to get this week over and do some Christmas shopping. lol I know its been a while since I've written...okay like two months, but I have just been so busy. I really wish I had time to write everyday and express feelings...good, bad, or otherwise :) cause I believe this is a good stress reliever.

For Thanksgiving my cousin Michael and I had a cook-off because he claimed he could cook better than me, which might be an actual possibility, but I still wanted to at least try to prove him wrong. So we decided to each make an appetizer and desert and then let other people decide who was a better cook. I ended up making Spinach and Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms and he made Stuffed Jalepeno Peppers...He won that category. However for desert he made a Pumpkin Banana Mousse Tart and I made a Apple Pecan Cheesecake drizzled with Caramel...and I so won this!! It was fun to have a little friendly competition and even more fun to eat the products :)

Hope everyone is enjoying the Holiday Season!

Rough day, but I'll make it!

Today has been kinda rough. It definately didn't turn out like I expected, but God knows. I was really down coming home from school and this song came on...it was like God was talkin right to me. And I wanted to share at least some of it with ya!

...And even though I'm walkin through the valley of the shadow
I will hold tight to the hand of Him whose love will comfort me
And when all hope is gone and I've been wounded in the battle
He is all the strength that I will ever need
He will carry me
He will carry me

And even though I feel so lonely
(Something I forget lol)
He never said it would be easy
But He said He'd bring me through the storm

And even though I'm walkin through the valley of the shadow
I will hold tight to the hand of HIm whose love will comfort me
And when all hope is gone and I've been wounded in the battle
He is all the strength that I will ever need
He will carry me
He will carry me

I was forced to take it easy!

Well today was one of those days where God had to slow me down cause I wouldn't do it myself. I got sick early this morning and had to miss my Maternity Nursing clinical. I really tried to make it because I haven't ever missed a clinical, but at 5:30 this morning when I needed to be up I was still weak and nauseas. I thought about it and I am acyually blessed to be sick this day instead of any other day because:

1. It's not a day that I have to work all day or even half a day...so I'm not losing pay
2. I am able to take the whole day to work on school stuff
3. It's a clinical day so it's not a class day and I already know how to do the work they are doing today
4. I have the whole weekend to recooperate and be ready to go on Monday.

Enjoy this nice fall weather!!!!!!

Long week...but full of surprises

Well its been a full week! I started clinicals for psych nursing and let me tell you...its eye opening! However most of the people there are really friendly...unless they forgot their meds, then its a totally different story. I start Maternity (OB) nursing this week and I am SUPER excited! I can't wait to get involved in those miracles God gives...its absolutly amazing and I truly believe that this is what I want to do. I believe OB nursing is where God wants me to be...it just feels right.

I am 19 now (since august 27) and actually it doesn't feel any different. My sister took me to see Beauty and the Beast on broadway in cincinnati with Susan and Casey...It was breathtaking. If you haven't seen a broadway production...YOU HAVE TO SEE ONE!!!! I have pictures that I will post as soon as I download them...although they are not of the show cause we weren't allowed.

I also got a dog...thanks to the VanBuskirks! She is a golden doodle named Inari (we think) and she is so cute and good. She has the face and body of a poodle, but the ears and color of a Golden Retriever. She is the quietest dog...except at night when she has to go in her crate. She adores my mom and follows her everywhere...I call her the "traitor dog" LOL! I have pictures of her too but I have to download them. I promise i'll post them as soon as I can.

Talk at you all later
